A poem…

Here’s a little ditty I call “Leafblower.”

Leafblower, oh how I hate you
Your loud motor running
Your constant drone
It sucks the life from me.

I remember the rake
Its soft, gentle strokes
Its soothing rythmn
Peaceful work on peaceful days.

Leafblower, all I hear
Is screaming
Is screeching
My mind is going.

Leafblower, please go away
Your life is unnecessary
Your contribution is nil
We won’t miss you at all.

You demanded it…

…And here it is, another blog entry.

I hadn’t realized that it had been over a month since my last entry. It seems like time passes so much more quickly for me than it does for everyone else.

I still haven’t gotten rid of those damn fruit flies that are infesting my house. They are becoming quite pesky because they are almost impossible to kill. Last night I picked up some “flying insect” bug spray because the ant and roach spray I have just doesn’t work on fruit flies. I thought I had gotten rid of them a few weeks ago, but they have made a big comeback in the past few days. I’m going to do some cleaning today and just carry that bug spray around until I can get them all.

In other news, some dude hit my car in the parking lot at work the other day. Fortunately he had insurance, so I should be able to get it fixed at no charge to me.

My birthday was last week. I drank and played poker and Yatzee all day. I also ate at a restaurant in Cool Springs called Genghis Grill. I highly recommend it to anyone in the Nashville area.

Well, that’s it for today.
